It’s 10 pm, and I still haven’t blogged. In fact, I thought I wasn’t going to manage it because of a headache that’s been torturing me on and off throughout the day.
I feel like poop.
I fully suspect it was induced by all of the visa stress I’m currently going through. I’m getting a student visa from next month to study Nepali (and stay in the country), and it’s not straightforward. In a fashion that’s very reminiscent of Cyprus, the documents you need magically change depending on whom you talk to. I thankfully thought of asking again (and again), and I now believe that I know what I have to get.
This would all be great, however, the one thing I need in order to have the visa processed in my Cypriot passport is proving to be a shit show of a challenge to obtain. The phone number for the consulate here doesn’t work and the responses on email have been discouraging, to say the least.
And so, I will come back in on my British passport after my trip to Dubai to avoid further stress. And headaches. And meltdowns.
Anyway, I’m fully aware this is a boring topic, but I made a promise to blog for 30 days! I will not fail! But alas, today’s post is nothing deep or even remotely interesting. Just an update to say a) I hate visas b) I hate the Cyprus Consulate in Nepal and c) I hate headaches.
On that note, I’m off to eat the vegetarian bolognese that’s currently smelling amazing on the stove, clean up, and get into bed. And to think it’s New Year’s Eve in Nepal today, and I’ll probably be asleep by 11 pm.
That’s just how I roll these days.
